"Friends Forever"

The Bobcat circle believes in strengthening our father/daughter relationships through the Adventure Princesses Guide program, by offering our daughters and fathers opportunities to laugh, love, learn, and grow together. Fathers and daughters participate together in group meetings and outings that incorporate a variety of recreational and educational activities. We aim to emphasize the vital role that the father plays in the growth and development of our daughters. This program reinforces the awareness of nature, community, and family ties.

Wahoka

I want you all to think back however many years or months since your first

Bobcat camp event. Do you remember the weeks before the hesitation to hit

enter on the send button for the credit card authorization on the YMCA web

site? The feelings of is this the right thing for my family?

Now think back to the moment during or after the first campout, the part

AFTER you got that smell out of your clothes and hand washed your Bobcat

mug. It is the moment where you quit thinking about the sting of the cost of

this program and realized that your decision was the right thing for not

only your daughter but for you. It was the moment that you realized that you

had obtained the very unique balance of safety, fun and growth for your

daughter combined with a fit with a group of guys that share your interests.

I am there. Thank you!

Scott

Scott,

You have arrived. You have found the very essence of this program. It is a

feeling, as you now know, that cannot be completely explained; it has to be

experienced. The experience you are describing came on a crisp evening at

Yucaipa back in 2005 for me, when my daughters were what now feels like

babies.

The experiences that we have had, the laughs, the accomplishments, the

growth and maturity of us as Father and Daughters, the tight bond that

belongs to us, just us, and will be there when they have children, are

because of this program and this group of exceptional men and girls that we

call our Bobcat Family. You and little M have many more "firsts."

Somewhere along the way, this crazy band of Bobcat hooligans will become

family to you as well. You will treat all the princesses as if they were

your very own and they will talk to you with trust and confidence, as if you

were a blood uncle. What an awesome privlidge we have all been given.

Somewhere along the way, these fellow Fathers, become brothers, they have

for me, and I consider them family.... and friends for life!!

Thanks for sharing my friend and Wahoka!
